started the final concept pose. not liking the hands at the moment they look a little awkward. also trying to figure out how to maybe make the bag look more cyberpunk/ sci-fi and work on the rendering a little more.

About the project

Heya

I'm Steven Beaumont, this project was started to essentially get me of my arse a little and do some constructive portfolio work. i heard the phrase "projects are the new portfolio" and decided creating a world( or at least part of) a game/ fantasy world seemed like a good idea.

books like exodyssey by steambot studios and the skillfull huntsman by Scott Robertson also influenced my decision to do this.

as for the project itself it's actually something i came with for my final year project for uni where i took the character and book Aladdin and re-imagined him in a more sci-fi/ futuristic setting

i had some advice from people to do a project like this even after uni, but couldn't think of anything. until around the end of January when i remembered i had ideas for a lot of things to do with it when i originally thought of it.

so i decided I'd create this project and see how far i can go with it with no real set timer or deadline to the project.

hopefully it will push my skills further by getting me out of my comfort zones, try new workflows, get me faster at doing them, and ultimately create some good portfolio level work
